Just watched a movie with Hubby....City of Lies with Johnny Depp. Woke up to sun....it rained & now sunny again. I haven't exercised yet...need to go do it. It's cooled of so it would be a good time.
I like to post pics of the meals I cook and get lots of response to them. I really started creatively cooking in recent years. When I was working, our meals usually consisted of a piece of meat, chicken or fish....often grilled by Hubby, a starch...potato, rice or pasta & a vegetable. Of course we had spaghetti, stew, chili too. At some point we reduced our meat/ fish portion...I used to eat a whole steak myself....and figured out it could be accompanied with 2 veggies. I got really creative in the past couple of years. I don't do complicated very often. Most meals are sautéed, oven roasted or grilled. I've always liked salads & they are a staple.
For years Breakfast when I worked was coffee. At the end I usually grabbed a yogurt & a banana on my way out the door...and of course coffee. Occasionally I'd stop for a biscuit with sausage, egg or bacon on the way. Since I've retired Breakfast has become a main meal, Lunch more of a snack with a substantial Dinner.
Everyone can learn to cook tasty, healthy meals. Just pick ingredients you like and go for it! I guess I apply the creative portion on my mind to food.
Our girls beach trip is just over 5 weeks away!!! 🌞⛱🌊👙 I can't wait.
