Up today, but I expected it. Yesterday I ate almost 500 calories over my RDI. That's an estimate, since I don't know where the lunchtime sub sandwiches were from, or the strawberry shortcake style Birthday cake. For that matter the one rib I stripped the meat from for last night's soup was an estimate. I didn't think about weighing it til it was already in the soup 😊 Anyway, I was thinking about it & I didn't overeat yesterday. I had 3 normal meals with a couple of snacks. But, I can see how if I ate the same thing everyday I might slowly start to gain a lb. here & there. It's perfectly fine to have wine with lunch....and a slice of cake some days. Then other days I might need eat fewer calories. That is why after being in maintenance for 5 1/2 months I'm still weighing myself every day, logging my foods & weighing / measuring them when I can. There may come a time I'm comfortable not logging but in the past when I stopped I slowly got away from my WOE. And in spite of weighing myself every day (that's a habit I've continued) I gained back weight I'd worked hard to lose. I'm determined this time really is different.

I never interacted with others when I used the app before. This time I've enjoyed sharing my journey, cheering others on & being encouraged by all of you here. 😀 "Sharing" my meals is fun. And getting ideas from others is nice. Talking about losing weight and staying healthy in real life can get to be an old subject after awhile for some. I do share with my friends & family but on here if I'm boring you, you can just scroll on by.

Tonight I'm going to try to recreate a meal I made with Pork chops, cabbage & apples. I'll have to look back & see what ingredients I used. Since I often make it up as I go along, having a record on FS can be helpful.
