I’m curious: does your book club actually discuss books? The reason I’m asking is that I once joined a book club and there were almost no book discussions there. I wonder if that’s common. Just wine, gossip, venting about in-laws, kids, etc. Not that I minded, it was still fun since I liked the people there.

Agnes, we do discuss the book we read that month. We also talk about other books someone has read. Sometimes our conversations go off in a direction inspired by where the book is set, characters, subject, etc. We also discuss a variety of things....where someone has traveled recently, family, current events, community happenings. We enjoy a nice meal & there are adult beverages for those that want. It is always an enjoyable evening.
